Effect of the Conditions of Synthesis on the Luminescent Properties of Upconversion Nanoparticles YVO4:Yb,Er

Abstract

Nanoparticles of YVO4 doped with Yb3+ and Er3+ ions, which exhibit upconversion luminescence upon cw laser excitation at 980 nm, are synthesized according to the familiar hydrothermal procedure. Physical and structural features of intermediate products obtained at different technological stages of creating upconversion nanoparticles are established via electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and luminescence microscopy.
