Matter Density in a Simple Core-Plus-Particle Model

Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

In this paper we give formulae for three-particle corrections to the matter density of spherical fermionic quantum systems with an odd number of particles in their ground and excited states. The corrections add to the spherical shape due to pairing vibrations and also infer deformation. In order to achieve trackable results we performed a series of approximations which do not allow for considering more elaborate effects. The results can be applied to both atomic nuclei and small electronic systems such as atomic or molecular clusters.
