Abstract
A mathematical model is proposed for analyzing nonstationary electromagnetic processes in a coil capacitor (a katkon, an electromagnetic element with reactive power self-compensation). Transients in the katkon are modeled physically. Qualitative features of unsteady electromagnetic processes at the katkon’s input and output are generalized and systematized for different types of loads under pulsed action.
