Erratum

Sylvain Doré, Kenji Sampei, Shozo Goto, Nabil J Alkayed, Daniel Guastella, Seth Blackshaw, Michela Gallagher, Richard J Traystman, Patricia D Hurn, Raymond C Koehler, and Solomon H Snyder. (1999) Heme Oxygenase-2 Is Neuroprotective in Cerebral Ischemia. Mol. Med. 1999 Oct;5(10):656–663.

On page 660, the paper says the following:

“As reported previously (14), we observed substantial neural damage following NMDA injections into the cerebral cortex (Fig. 5).”

As stated in the Materials and Methods section, this induced lesion was after intrastriatal N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) injection; thus, the text should say the following:

“As reported previously (14), we observed substantial neural damage following injections into the striatum (Fig, 5).”
