Abstract
YBa2Cu3O7−x–Ag and YBa2Cu3O7−x–SiO2 composite superconductors were prepared by the spray drying method. The composite powder was prepared by calcination of the precursor powder, which was synthesized by spray drying the oxalate slurries and dissolved components. Fine Ag, Ba2SiO4, and other phases were distributed in composite sintered bodies, with the added Ag or SiO2 showing enhanced magnetic properties.
