Low-Cost Pump Package for Small Industrial Applications

  • Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden

In order to provide smaller paint shops with a professional spray outfit, ITW Oberflächentechnik is now offering an entry-level pump package called Raptor Lite. It has been specially designed for trades and small industrial applications. The package includes two units from Binks, the MX4/32 high-pressure piston pump and the AA4400M AirCombi spray gun. A set of hoses is also included. The pump is quiet, robust and economical. It also benefits from a tried and tested combination of an air motor and a material section. As the manufacturer points out, the components are designed to save both coating material and compressed air. The pump features a magnetic detent design. Due to its almost pulse-free operation, it produces even surface finishes. The pump ratio is 32:1. The maximum flow rate is 4 l/min. Spring-loaded packings extend the lifetime of the pump, while also reducing maintenance requirements and downtime. The small, lightweight spray gun has a spray jet adjustment that allows the spray jet to be adjusted to the requirements of the workpiece directly at the gun. According to the manufacturer, the gun produces a fine finish even at a low material and air pressure with significantly lower material and energy consumption. The package, consisting of a pump, a spray gun and hoses, is supplied with a sturdy tripod. A user-friendly control panel makes it easy to operate the system. All wetted parts are made of high-quality stainless steel. The system is suitable for a wide range of solvent-based and water-based coating materials.
