Short Cycle Times and High Cleanliness Levels

Coating Removal Combined In-Line Cleaning and Deburring

In 2005, a combined deburring and cleaning system was incorporated into the production process by a manufacturer of die-cast aluminium components for the first time. Since then it has been in continuous use and achieves consistently low levels of contamination, together with short cycle times.

In order to meet high cleanliness standards, it is essential that parts are also deburred. Alongside the conventional electromechanical, thermal and brush deburring processes, high-pressure water deburring has also proved extremely effective, both before and during the cleaning process. This method has demonstrated its reliability in particular when processing high volumes of different types of parts. The cleaning machine manufacturer LPW Reinigungssysteme has been developing combined in-line cleaning and deburring systems since 2004, and in 2005 installed one of these machines in the production line of the precision die-cast parts manufacturer TCG Herrmann in south-western Germany.
