B decays into charm at CLEO

Abstract

Recent measurements of the branching fractions and helicity amplitudes of the decays B^–→ D^{⋆ 0} ρ^– and ${\bar B}^0 \to D^{\star +} \rho^{-}$ by the CLEO collaboration are presented. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in the ${\bar B}^0 \to D^{\star +} \rho^{-}$ decay is found to be consistent with the factorization hypothesis, although the helicity amplitudes show evidence for nonzero final-state interaction phases.
