Deep inelastic scattering of leptons on nuclei: Hadron formation, cumulative particles production

Abstract.

We introduce a space-time model for propagation of quark and gluon jets in nuclear matter, taking into account the formation zone phenomena (Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal, LPM, effect) and cascading of soft particles in a nucleus. The measured final-state hadrons, including cumulative nucleons produced in neutrino interactions with nuclei are investigated and the formation length of hadrons is obtained.
