Abstract

The influence of unique natural conditions in the Sarykum sand dune on biochemical and technological properties of grapes has been studied, as well as the taxonomic composition of yeast living on it. The occurrence of active forms of saccharomyces being of interest to biotechnology has been shown. The biological role played by a major component of sabulous soil, i.e., silicon dioxide, has been analyzed.
