Abstract

The study investigated zooplankton seasonal dynamics in the pelagic and shelf zones at the eastern coast of Lake Baikal, near the Baikal Pulp-and-Paper Plant, in August and September of 2005, 2006, and 2007. It was shown that zooplankton development in the 0–50 mdepth over the study period followed a characteristic Baikal pattern despite increased industrial pressure on the study site.
