Abstract
The influence of calcium carbonate (chalk) as a filler on the properties of noncuring sealants based on ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber, as well as on polar and nonpolar thermoplastics, has been considered. The dependencies of the properties of sealants on calcium carbonate dispersion, concentration, and surface polarity of its particles have been studied. It has been shown that the chalk dispersion and surface polarity of its particles have a decisive influence on the properties of such sealants.
