Free-living nematodes (nematoda) fauna from the interstitial of the Lake Baikal splash zone

Abstract

In samples taken from the intersticial of Lake Baikal (Bolshie Koty Bay) splash-zone. 18 species from 13 genera, 9 families, 6 orders of free-living nematodes were found. Three species are new to science, 9 known species are recorded for the fauna of the Lake for the first time, 3 are identified only to genus. List of found nematode species and illustrated description of Eudorylaimus olgae sp.n. are given.
