Abstract

In rivers, lakes, and streams located in the region of the northern slope of the Polar Ural, 15 species of centric diatoms belonging to genera Aulacoseira, Cyclotella, Discostella, Melosira, and Stephanodiscus have been recorded. The species Cyclotella tripartita, Stephanodiscus hantzschii, S. minutulus, Aulacoseira tenella, Cyclotella arctica, C. ocellata, Stephanodiscus alpinus, and S. cf. niagarae, which are new for the flora of the region, have been found. The high morphological variability of Cyclotella ocellata is shown.
