High-voltage electron cooler systems in ion–ion colliders

Abstract

The possible parameters of ion colliders with electron cooling are discussed on the basis of the experimental results on the cooling of ion beams in CSRe and COSY systems. The construction and operating control over the electron beam parameters play a vital role in the effective functioning of the electron cooling systems.
