Abstract
Results from preliminary experimental research of neutron emission generated by a spherical plasma focus chamber filled with an equal-component deuterium-tritium mixture are presented. At a maximum current amplitude in the discharge chamber of ∼1.5 MA, neutron pulses with a full width at half-maximum of 75–80 ns and an integral yield of ∼1.3 × 1013 DT neutrons have been recorded.
