Abstract
The results of the experimental observation of the phenomenon of mirror reflection from horizontally oriented flat crystal particles localized in the atmosphere and irradiated by pulsed laser radiation are presented. The possible reasons for the absence of the phenomenon earlier when sensing the atmosphere by lidar are discussed.
