Abstract
The effect ultrasound has on the kinetics of crystalline iodine solvation in ethanol is studied using data from UV absorption spectra. It is shown that treatment with ultrasound greatly accelerates the chemical reaction associated with the formation of complex anions \({\text{I}}_{3}^{ - }\).
