Abstract
The spatial nonuniformities of the response and the absolute light yield in calorimeter modules with interleaved absorber and scintillator layers were investigated on high-energy muon and electron beams. A program for detailed simulation of light collection in scintillator tiles of the calorimeter using the Monte Carlo method was developed to describe the whole set of experimental results. The experimental data are in good agreement with the results of simulation.
