Abstract
Stimulated scattering of a pump wave by an extended electron bunch counterpropagating with a relativistic translational velocity is studied theoretically. It is demonstrated that the realization of a superradiance regime ensures coherent emission of a short electromagnetic pulse with a frequency much higher than the pump frequency.
