Abstract
A solution describing the radiation field of a vertical magnetic dipole placed above a plane grid screen is presented. It is shown that both the solution and the related computational procedure can be substantially simplified using methods of virtual images and averaged boundary conditions. The obtained results can be used to calculate the parameters of electromagnetic screens involving metal grids.
