Study of sorption and bactericidal properties of carbon adsorbents and fullerenes

Disinfection properties of activated carbons and C60 and C70 fullerenes, as introduced into the structure of the activated carbon and in the form of aqueous dispersions, are studied. The most efficient method was determined for the modification of activated carbon with fullerenes. It was shown that the presence of a modifier intensifies suppression of microorganism growth in an aqueous medium without reducing its absorption characteristics.
