Abstract
The effect of electrolysis conditions on the hydrogenation and the state of hydrogen in extra-pure iron strips obtained by electroplating is discussed. It is shown that an increase in the current density results in the increase in the content of diffusible hydrogen and the appearance of commensurable amounts of more strongly bound hydrogen forms. Preference should be given to high temperature electrolysis, which provides a low content of hydrogen and its uniform distribution over the structural defects. This improves the rollability and enhances technological characteristics of electroplated strips.
