Abstract

Since the recent Olympic Games modern taping methods have seen an increase in interest and popularity. They are now one of the established and proven therapies in sports medicine. Next to the kinesiological taping after Kenzo-Kase, acu-taping is possibly the internationally most widely known and used taping method. When diagnostic and therapeutic rules of Chinese Medicine are applied in acu-taping, we see a similar range of indications as with acupuncture. Very often acu-taping is applied alongside acupuncture, osteopathy and other natural therapies.
