Abstract

Development of RMS a.s. Košice is focused on improvement of refractoriness under load and reduction of thermal conductivity of lightweight aluminosilicate bricks and castables and the effective use of energy sources in thermal aggregates. Current trends in thermal aggregate design are aimed at effective utilization of resources so it is necessary to look for raw materials that work under severe conditions and at relatively high temperatures. The purpose of the present paper is to present the portfolio of innovated insulation products made by RMS a.s. Košice, which includes several types of lightweight castables and bricks, and to compare the thermal-mechanical and thermal-physical properties of the original and innovated products on the basis of advanced lightweight aluminosilicate materials.
