Notes

  1. Wide games are a classic part of UK outdoor pursuits, scouts, etc. A wide game is usually a team game conducted over a large area of land and an extended period of time. An Easter egg hunt outdoors is a simple, small scale example; rogaining qualifies; the inaugural versions of rugby and to a lesser extent Australian Rules football are early examples. Bandits, described in the book, is a classic of the genre.
