Necrotizing Fasciitis of Cancer Breast: Case Report and Literature Review

Necrotizing fasciitis is a life-threatening soft tissue infection predominantly involving abdominal wall and perineum. Delay in diagnosis and treatment poses a high risk of mortality. This condition rarely involves the breast. The incidence of necrotizing fasciitis in a carcinoma breast is an extremely rare event. Here, we report a case of 56-year-old female with necrotizing fasciitis of carcinoma breast. Patient underwent emergency modified radical mastectomy with skin cover under broad-spectrum antibiotic cover.
