The awardees for the 2018 Clemson Awards are the following:
Professor Jason Burdick, Ph.D., (Professor, Department of Bioengineering, University of Pennsylvania). The overall focus of Prof. Burdick research lab is the development of polymeric materials for drug delivery and fabricating scaffolding for regenerative medicine, particularly for cardiovascular and musculoskeletal applications. Prof. Burdick currently has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and he has been awarded a NIH/NIDCR K22 Scholar Development and Career Transition Award (2004–2009), a Coulter Foundation Early Career Award (2008–2010), a NSF CAREER Award (2009–2014), and an Edward C. Nagy New Investigator Award, NIBIB 92011. In addition, Prof. Burdick is on the editorial boards of Biofabrication, Tissue Engineering, and Journal of Biomedical Materials Research A, and is an Associate Editor for ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering.
