  1. Of the total cohort, 1 573 766 women delivered 1 baby and the remaining women delivered ≥2 babies.

  2. In 2009, the US FDA recommended that PTU should be reserved for women who are in their first trimester, or are allergic or intolerant to MMI. However, subsequent guidelines by professional committees advised use of PTU in the first trimester, followed by MMI thereafter.
