Abstract

This paper presents a new sampling method for fibre length measurement. This new method can meet the three features of an effective sampling method, also it can produce the beard with two symmetrical ends which can be scanned from the holding line to get two full fibrograms for each sample. The methodology was introduced and experiments were performed to investigate effectiveness of the new method. The results show that the new sampling method is an effective sampling method.
