Rural and traditional societies are interested and many are involved in floriculture business for supplementing their livelihood for sustainability in the region. Keeping this in view, two varieties of potential flowers viz. Gladiolus and Lilium were selected for cultivation in the study area through participatory approaches. A total of 150 farmers involved in cultivation of these potential flowers on 12.5 ha of land which was mostly abandoned and uncultivated. For the capacity building of the involved farmers, 50 cluster level meetings were conducted with diverse stakeholders.
