Eine ältere Dame mit COPD und schwerem Lungenemphysem hatte eine unilaterale endoskopische Lungenvolumenreduktion (ELVR) durch Ventile mit zufriedenstellendem Erfolg erhalten. Die Grunderkrankung schritt aber fort, die Lungenüberblähung nahm weiter zu. Um ihr noch Hilfe anbieten zu können, musste ein unkonventioneller Weg betreten werden.
