Die nicht invasive Beatmung als Notfalltherapie

Zahlreiche Krankheitsbilder gehen mit einer Form der akuten respiratorischen Insuffizienz einher. Obwohl es physiologische Kompensationsmechanismen gibt, kann sich aus einer respiratorischen Insuffizienz rasch ein respiratorisches Versagen entwickeln. Durch frühzeitige nicht invasive Beatmung lassen sich Dekompensation sowie negative Aspekte von Intubation und invasiver Beatmung vermeiden.
