Schon länger wird versucht, mit objektiveren Kriterien eine sinnvolle, abgestufte Herangehensweise bei sehr jungen Kindern mit Fieber ohne weiter erkennbare Ursache zu etablieren. Das Ziel ist es insbesondere, Kinder mit geringerem Risiko herauszufinden, um damit weitergehende Untersuchungen wie Lumbalpunktionen und Blutkulturen zu vermeiden. Studienautoren aus Spanien stellen nun einen neuen Algorithmus vor.
