Die Dokumentation von Körperhöhe/Körperlänge, Körpergewicht sowie einiger Umfangsmaße gehören zur täglichen pädiatrischen Routine. Die vorliegende Arbeit fasst die für den Pädiater wichtigsten Referenzwerte für Körperhöhe, Gewicht und Body Mass Index für deutsche Kinder sowie für in Deutschland geborene Kinder türkischer Eltern zusammen und gibt Referenzen für Wachstumsgeschwindigkeiten.
