Die arterielle Hypertonie ist im Kindesalter eine diagnostische und therapeutische Herausforderung. Da die arterielle Hypertonie einen der stärksten Risikofaktoren für die Entwicklung atherosklerotischer Gefäßveränderungen im Kindes- und Erwachsenenalter darstellt, muss sie konsequent therapiert werden. Dabei kommen nicht-medikamentöse und medikamentöse Optionen zum Einsatz.
