Zur Anlage zentraler Venenkatheter ist die ultraschallgesteuerte Punktionstechnik mittlerweile auch bei Kindern etabliert. Bei der Arterienpunktion dominiert noch die Palpationstechnik. Nun wurde die Anlage von Arterienkathetern bei Kindern mittels Sonographie geprüft.
