  1. There is no value of total world production published in the Report but the export value of 21 billion US dollars gives an indication of a total value larger than this figure. This makes the dimensional stone sector larger than many metals for example zinc, silver and phosphate rock. The value of world production (at the mine stage) of each of these is around 20 billion USD.
