Samenvatting

Ze was acht jaar en heette Ruby. Ze nestelde zich in mijn hoofd als een liedje: Ruby was het meest bijzondere kind bij mijn vader op school. Passend onderwijs bestond nog niet. De lom-school wel. Mijn vader was er directeur en Ruby spuwde haar vurige temperament in alle hoeken die ze kon vinden. Mijn vader maakte het onderwijs passend voor haar.
