The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article (Chen et al., 2020). The article was accepted as part of a guest-edited special issue in Current Psychology. Before the special issue was finalized, the Editor-in-Chief detected problems with editorial handling and peer review and decided not to proceed with the special issue. Post publication peer review found the following issues:
-
The article lacks information about the data collection method and what qualitative methods of analysis were used, how rigor was instilled in them, and why regression analyses seem to have been included at the end of the paper;
-
It is unclear why quantitative analyses were conducted when the study is described as qualitative;
-
The literature review appears to be inadequate.
The Editor-in-Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the reliability of the work presented None of the authors of this paper responded to any correspondence from the Editor about this retraction.
