Nuclear Power Technical Sessions Presented at CORROSION 2010
As part of the CORROSION 2010 Conference and Expo held March 14–18, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas, NACE International hosted a forum, meetings, and symposia for those who design, manage, and maintain nuclear power plants and their corrosion-related issues. With many existing nuclear power plants already having at least one life extension, properly addressing the issues of coatings and corrosion mitigation is critical. These events were intended to help coating and engineering professionals from around the world focus on the critical nature of safely running nuclear power facilities.
“Are you prepared for what’s ahead?” was the primary question posed at the four-hour Nuclear Forum chaired by Jon Cavallo, with presentations by key nuclear industry experts discussing the many new nuclear power plants about to begin construction worldwide.
