This in-depth course prepares a candidate to conduct visual examination, including setup and calibration of equipment, interpretation and evaluation of results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, and familiarization with the scope and limitations of the methods. Course curriculum includes vision and illumination, optical tools, manufacturing processes, in-service defects, and welding.
