Prophylaxis of the specific risk of thromboembolism

Abstract

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), with its complications, is a common, serious and potentially fatal disease; it aggravates the course of patients undergoing elective surgery, even more so in case of trauma; considering its frequently binding and urgent nature, it has to be specifically prevented.
