Am 4. April 2011 hat die Artikel-29-Datenschutz-Gruppe eine Stellungnahme zu Datenschutz und Smart Metering angenommen. Ziel der Stellungnahme ist es, den anwendbaren EU-Datenschutzrechtsrahmen für die Smart Metering-Technologie im Energiesektor darzustellen.
