Volume 62, issue 3 of TechTrends is a special issue on the topic of innovation in health science education. It was guest edited by Drs. Brad Wright, Lori Hornsby, Karen Marlowe, and Dan Surry, a team from the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. I am thankful for the hard work and dedication they put into pulling this issue together! The issue includes nine papers that may inspire you to reach out to health sciences colleagues for collaborations, if you have not already done so, or to implement some of their ideas if you work in health sciences.

In addition to the original papers, the issue includes some of the regular columns you expect to see in TechTrends. There are entries for the Graduate Member Musings, History Corner, Rethinking Technology & Creativity in the twenty-first Century, ICT International, and Book Review columns. Watch for a new column to begin in the next issue of the journal; Linda Campion of East Carolina University will be the column editor for, Leading Matters. The issue closes with a guest editorial from Anthony Piña of Sullivan University on the new AECT Instructional Design Standards for Distance Learning.
