Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Editorial Board and editors of the journal Teoreticheskaya i Éksperimental’naya Khimiya (Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry, THEC), permit me to congratulate the authors and readers on the occasion of New Year 2019 and wish them good health, happiness, and further scientific accomplishments.

Our journal has been appearing since 1965 and several thousand scientific articles have been published over this period. The authors have included chemists, physicists, and materials scientists from 27 countries.

The journal appears six times yearly in Russian and English. The English version appears from four to six weeks after the Russian version. Springer is responsible for the translation, publication, and distribution of the journal in English throughout the world under the title Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry in both print and digital versions (http://www.springer.com/11237).

The journal is indexed on the Web of Science data base and, according to the latest edition of Journal Citation Reports, its impact factor (IF 2018) is 0.878. Relative to this index, THEC is one of the three leading Ukrainian scientific journals. The journal is referenced and indexed in many publications throughout the world.

As in previous years, Teoreticheskaya i Éksperimental’naya Khimiya is positioned as a journal for rapid publication of scientific communications and current chemistry reviews (up to three months) of a) physicochemical principles and techniques for new processes, substances, and materials, b) physicochemical fundamentals for controlling chemical processes and the effect of external physical factors on chemical reactions, and c) physical nanochemistry, nanostructures, nanomaterials, functional nanomaterials, and dimensionally-dependent properties of materials, i.e., areas holding greatest interest for our readers. The rules for authors are published in the sixth issue of the journal every year and at the site www.theorexperchem.org.ua.

The authoritarian international composition of the Editorial Board and its highly-qualified reviewers guarantee further improvement of the scientific level of the journal taking account of current trends in the development of chemical science.

I wish all our authors and readers fruitful cooperation with Teoreticheskaya i Éksperimental’naya Khimiya in the New Year 2019.

Respectfully,

Professor V. D. Pokhodenko

Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
