Two-photon ionization of the hydrogen-like uranium ion by elliptically polarized radiation is investigated in the present work. It is demonstrated that the fundamental effect of interference of the probability amplitudes arises in the angular photoelectron distribution when the degree of ellipticity of ionizing radiation is varied.
