The problem of calibration of specimens for liquid-penetrant testing

  • Yu. A. Glazkov
Penetrant Methods

The peculiarities of the use of reference specimens in liquid-penetrant testing are considered. It is shown that specimens should be subjected to metrological certification following manufacturing for determination of their technical characteristics. However, it is shown that regular calibration of these specimens appears to be useless.
