Abstract
Zinc enolates derived from 1-aryl-2-bromoalkanones react with 3-acyl-6-bromochromen-2-ones to give 3-acetyl(benzoyl)-6-bromo-4-(2-aryl-2-oxo-1-R-ethyl)chromen-2-ones as a single diastereoisomer.
