Abstract
The correlation analysis of data on the equilibrium constants of formation of various charge-transfer complexes (K e) in various solvents shows that the solvent polarity alone does not provide sufficiently reliable description of the process. An adequate correlation between K e and solvent properties can be obtained only with combined consideration of the capability of solvents for specific and nonspecific solvation.
